about

A song that anyone from or connected with Caithness can properly identify with. Lyrically taking you on the northward journey home along the A9. Written by John Sutherland in 1983 at Thirty Nine looking back to when he left in pursuit of musical dreams in 1963 age Nineteen

John recorded the song as a means of learning to play the fiddle so it seemed only fitting to get a guest in the shape of Bruce MacGregor (Blazin’ Fiddles) involved to add a fiddle part & the result is there for you to hear
